Clash of Clans: Autumn Update + Balance Changes


Hey boss, Clash of Clans is about to bring brand new changes to your village. Supercell recently celebrated Clash of Clans' 9th anniversary in August 2021. Things have been a little dark since then, but now the Halloween update is imminent! Every fan knows this is the biggest update in the game and it brings a lot of pleasure every year. However, some major balance changes will be added to the game before the Halloween celebrations begin.

Supercell took to the Clash of Clans Twitter account to make the announcement a few minutes ago. The exact time for the maintenance break has yet to be announced, as they usually tweet minutes earlier. But what we do know is that it will happen in the next few days.

“We have a few things we would like to introduce that will be released in the Fall Update over the next few days. Today's preview is about upcoming balance changes, bug fixes, and new levels for Troops and Defenses," Supercell wrote.


They also mentioned it in the tweet as Fall Update Part 1, so there's a lot to come. Autumn is literally the greatest time for Clash of Clans fans and brings a host of updates to everyone. However, this set of changes only affects top players in town hall. So, let's dive right into that.

Players who max out TH14 and sit idle with nothing to spend their loot on can rejoice in the new updates. These include deadly defenses and new levels for your favorite troops. Unfortunately, there is no news of any new additions for now. Here are the defensive upgrades you can now perform:


  • Xbox Level 9 and upgrade will take 19 days for 18.5 million gold (200 DPS, 4500 HP)
  • For 17.5 million gold, the fee level is 14 and it will take 18 days to upgrade (48 DPS, 1250 HP)
  • 50x more wall pieces can be unlocked for TH 14 players to upgrade to level 15.
  • Here are the troop upgrades you can now perform and run the lab once again:
  • Level 8 Miners for 17.5 million Elixir and its upgrade will take 17 days (136 DPS, 1100 HP)
  • Yeti Level 4 for 18 million Elixir and it will take 18 days to upgrade (290 DPS, 3700 HP)
  • Hog Rider Level 11 for 320K Dark Potions and will take 17 days to upgrade (187 DPS, 1080 HP)
  • Level 11 Golem for 320K Dark Elixirs and will take 17 days to upgrade (85/850 DPS, 8400 HP)
  • Bowler Level 6 for 320K Dark Elixir and its upgrade will take 17 days and 12 hours (102 DPS, 500 HP)

The last batch of balance changes to be introduced was in early August, and you can read about them here. Balance changes are often made in a game to improve some characters or machines and reduce others. It looks like these balance changes were made to reduce some of the top troops. Upcoming balance changes can be found below:

Inferno Dragon's beam attack speed is now reduced by 0.2 seconds, so it will take longer to reach its maximum damage.

Dragon Rider's range is reduced by 0.5 squares, so he will need to get closer to his target to attack

Mighty Yak's attack splash damage is now completely removed.


Bug fix

Bug fixes are a very important part of any game and like most games, COC has glitches. Below are the bug fixes:

  • Builders will no longer get stuck in walls while defending against any attack.
  • Fixed the issue where a village could not be saved in edit mode. Also, locked buildings will no longer be deleted when using the Delete All tool.
  • Battles with the desired number of participants will no longer be possible

These are all from part 1 of the Clash of Clans Fall Update. Rest assured there will be much more information and updates in the next few weeks. All eyes are on the Halloween update, which is likely to arrive in the second week of October. Until then, it's time to take full advantage of these updates and changes.
